This tensile fabric structure was required to form the roof cover of a brand new gym and spar in the luxury 5 star hotel, The Radisson, situated on the sea front, just a stone’s throw away from the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.
The significant logistical challenges which had to be overcome during the construction of the atrium fabric structure to the Genesis building, finally contributed to make this project a huge success.
The Execujet section of the Cape Town international airport was built for VIP arrivals and departures. Tension Structures was brought in to improve the look and feel of the existing roof by using a fabric membrane to cover the steel roof sheeting – this was as a substitute for the conventional rectangular ceiling panels which were the original design
